Read and Publish (Converter) Agreements have been developed as a new model in scientific journal publishing. Under this model, subscription costs and the Article Processing Charge (APC) paid for publishing articles open access are combined into a single agreement. Read and Publish agreements provide authors with the opportunity to publish their articles open access immediately after acceptance without the need to pay an additional APC. The open access publication process is part of the standard publication acceptance workflow that authors usually follow.
