Reference librarians provide library users with direction to library materials, advice on library collections and services, and expertise on multiple kinds of information from multiple sources.

Reference librarians;

• Assist the researcher on his/her research by providing in-depth reference service and consultation and guides the researcher with relevant reserach tools and methods for efficient access to information,

• Organize seminars and training programmes for the promotion of library sources and efficient use of these sources,

• Take active role in providing training and orientation programmes in order to create consciousness within the proper use of the library.
