The winner of the ‘Engineering Competition’ organized by the ITU Library and Documentation Department and Elsevier Publishing House, which began on October 24, 2025, was Engineer Kadir Marat. Marat, who received the award for his outstanding ability to manage complex engineering scenarios with precision and speed, is continuing his education at ITU's Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, in the Master's Program in Systems Dynamics and Control.

On November 11, 2025, at the ITU Rectorate, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal presented the competition award to the winner, Engineer Kadir Marat.

The competition aimed to produce solutions to real engineering problems using the Knovel database, which our library has made available, and the Engineering Village database, to which it provides trial access.
