Dear Researchers,
As “Open Access” becomes the standard in the world of academic publishing, increasing the global visibility and impact of our scientific work—in line with ITU’s Open Science Policy—remains one of our university’s top priorities.
Accordingly, this guide—prepared under the coordination of the Vice Rector for Research and in collaboration with the ITU Library and Documentation Directorate (KDDB), the ITU Ranking Coordination Office, the ITU Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordination Unit, the ITU Dean of Research (ARDEK), and other relevant units, this guide presents all mechanisms—from the “Read & Publish” agreements offered by our library to the ITU POLEN processes, as well as the open access support and requirements of BAP, TÜBİTAK, and European Union (EU) funding agencies—within a strategic framework.
Evaluating these options before beginning the publication process will ensure that you make the most of the open access opportunities available.
Guide to Academic Visibility and Open access
Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata
